Even though many of the major holidays have passed, we can still find any day to celebrate with a prime rib dinner. Today is National Prime Rib Day, the best reason to make a yummy flavorful dinner tonight. What exactly is prime rib?
It’s also called a “standing rib roast”

Have you, like many others, tried your hand at baking during these WFH days? Maybe you’ve played it safe and just grabbed a boxed cake or muffin mix from the pantry. But are you thinking perhaps to step it up a notch? Today’s the day- it’s Sourdough Bread Day!
Breadmaking can be a daunting task for many- but lately yeast has become hard to come by (along with toilet paper and bottled water!). The next best thing you can do if you can’t find yeast at the store is to make your own sourdough starter from scratch.
Wild yeast naturally lives in flour, so it is actually quite easy to get it to grow into a sourdough starter.
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
DAY 1: Combine flour & room temperature water in a glass jar on the counter, cover with towel
DAY 2: Feed the starter with equal parts flour and water, mix
DAY 3: The starter will become bubbly and active. Feed again, mix
DAY 4: Feed with flour & water again, mix
DAY 5: Starter should be frothy and billowy & smell sour- it’s ready to use!
Now you have your own homemade yeast to make your own yummy loaf of sourdough! Once you’re ready for the official taste-test, make sure to grab your American-Made Cutlery bread knife to make it super easy to slice up the yumminess!
Serve it with a bowl of soup on a rainy day, or make towering sandwich, you can’t go wrong!
As we all sit down this week for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, let’s give a special thanks and shout-out to our nation’s farmers. This week is National Ag Week, a time where the Agriculture Council of America encourages giving the farming community well-deserved recognition for their hard work.
How can you and your company help recognize America’s agriculture community this week?
Baking bread from scratch sounds like a daunting task for most. Even today, on National Homemade Bread Day, the most seasoned bakers will probably admit they’d prefer not to delve into the fickle and complicated world of bread-making.
Too many questions can arise:
Am I using the right flour?
Can I knead with a mixer, or should I do it by hand?
Proof it once or twice?
Did I bake it long enough?
Or perhaps: What on earth is this person even talking about??
Who are we kidding, just save yourself a whole day in the kitchen and take the easy route- go to that aromatic bakery down the street and pick up a warm, fresh loaf that the professionals made. Sourdough, ciabatta, or brioche? Yum. Yum. Yum.
Don’t forget to slice it up for everyone with your American-made Cutlerybread slicer.
Pizza used to be pretty basic, but not these days. It can be quite a versatile dish. From gluten-free crusts, to cauliflower crusts and plant-based meats and cheeses, the possibilities are endless for people who follow even the strictest of diets. So this week, during National Pizza Week, it’s time to celebrate this wonderful pie.
But what if you don’t want to make it all from scratch? What if your local pizza joint just doesn’t make it exactly like you want? Then turn to your freezer and pull out your favorite ready-made pizza and glam it up with extra toppings- fresh tomatoes, olive oil, extra cheese, whatever you can find!
Artisan toppings can turn that boring frozen pizza into something way more delicious and enjoyable than just a plain ol’ slice of cheese pizza.
After you patiently wait for it to bake, grab your American-made pizza cutter and you’ll easily be able to feed all of your family and friends. That is, if there’s any leftover once you’re done with it!
employees for Christmas, great. Here is a quick list of factors to consider.
Do the knives need to be American-made?
Do they need to be the color of your company logo?
What price do you need to stick with?
How many? Don’t forget to order a few more, for last minute changes in your workforce.
What style of pocket knife would coordinate with your business? Rescue, camouflage, tactical style, traditional style, or ones with multi-tools attached?
What size? Big and bold, or small, gentleman’s pocket size.
When you can answer all these questions, you are ready to focus your shopping on a particular pocket knife. Happy Shopping!
